Philosophy:
At Ohana Learning Center, we operate on the principle that children thrive when immersed in diverse educational opportunities that prioritize active, creative engagement. Our program is designed to honor a child’s natural inclination toward inquiry and investigation. By utilizing a sophisticated, play-based pedagogical approach, we facilitate an environment where exploration leads to mastery. Our mission is to cultivate compassionate learners equipped with the essential competencies for lifelong success: collaborative problem-solving, analytical reasoning, emotional intelligence, and cultural competence—firmly rooted in a robust foundation of early literacy and mathematical fluency.
Environment:
At Ohana Learning Center, we recognize that a child’s physical environment is as vital as their educational one. To ensure a healthy learning space, we exclusively utilize non-toxic, eco-friendly cleaning solutions and air purification systems. Our environment is meticulously maintained to eliminate pathogens without the use of harsh chemicals or endocrine-disrupting fragrances, protecting the sensitive developmental health of our students.
Nutritional Excellence Nutrition is the fuel for cognitive growth. We provide wholesome breakfast, lunch, and snack options prepared with intentionality. Our menu is strictly free from artificial food dyes and added sugars, ensuring that every meal supports steady energy levels and optimal focus throughout the school day.
Communication:
At Ohana, we prioritize the connection between the classroom and the family. We utilize Brightwheel for instantaneous updates throughout the school day, complemented by our open-door communication policy via text, phone, and email.
We take a data-informed approach to education by conducting formal assessments every September and May. This allows our educators to track progress accurately and pivot learning strategies to support each student's specific journey toward academic success.
Payments:
For your convenience, Ohana Learning Center utilizes Brightwheel for secure, automated tuition management. We also accept payments via Zelle, TEFA and CCS (Child Care Services). Our administrative system ensures a paperless experience; all invoices and comprehensive end-of-year tax statements are delivered directly to your email, providing you with effortless access to your financial records and tax documentation.
